Invisalign®
What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is a system of clear trays, known as aligners, that help to straighten and re-align your smile. The system is best for older teens and adults who can commit to treatment and wear their aligners for about 22 hours every day. The reason so many patients choose Invisalign® over other options is because it’s invisible. The aligners are removable and they are completely clear in nature.
Why is Invisalign® needed?
Invisalign® is necessary if you have crooked, crowded or unevenly spaced teeth. Treatment using Invisalign® can help you in that it’s nearly invisible, so you won’t need to worry that you’re wearing a mouthful of braces. You will find that Invisalign® is easy to wear and helps you to care for your teeth because the aligners are removable. Likewise, your Invisalign® can help long-term because it allows you to brush and floss more easily due to properly aligned teeth.

Who is a good candidate for Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is removable and should be replaced after eating and brushing. Because of this, treatment is often most suitable for older teens and adults who are able to keep up with the treatment needed. Invisalign® is easy to wear and is highly beneficial for people who want to achieve that gorgeous smile. We’ll consult with you to determine if and when you might need Invisalign® braces.
What can you expect during Invisalign® treatment?
To begin the process, we will consult with you and examine your teeth. Oftentimes, we’ll take impressions and x-rays to help us create a treatment plan that is right for you. Once this is done, we will create new Invisalign® trays that you’ll need to wear for about 22 hours every day. You will need to come back into the office every few weeks to have new Invisalign® trays made according to the treatment that was planned. You will need to remove your Invisalign® trays before eating and brushing to improve the results you’ll achieve.
